Romain Bessin is making some of our favorite Chablis.
We've been blown away by recent vintages from this estate. It's clear that we're not alone. Our offers have been met with a shockingly strong response.
The wines combine honesty, polish, and intensity. Bessin-Tremblay is producing some of the best examples of Chablis that we've tasted.
The 2020s are stunning. Bessin-Tremblay's Chablis Vieilles Vignes is one of the best values in Chablis that we've tasted in quite some time.
The 2020 has an emphatic chablisienne oceanic minerality. It also delivers serious old vine concentration with a sleek, chalky impression on the palate. There are complex notes of citrus and mildly tart stone fruits.
This is simply a stunning bottle of Chablis. I'm very happy to have found this wine in enough quantity to offer it.

Burghound: "This is aromatically similar to the regular cuvée but with even better Chablis character. However, there is notably better mid-palate density and power to the bigger-bodied flavors that exude outstanding intensity while coating the mouth on the beautifully long finale. While offering another dimension of depth, it comes at the price of being more structured. Highly recommended provided you have the patience to allow it at least a few years of keeping."
