The 2001 Sekt Reserve is one of the most exciting releases to date. The vintage is legendary. In the Saar, 2001 produced wines of extreme balance and incredible mineral focus.
Lauer's 2001 Sekt is finessed and lifted by the razor-sharp Saar acidity that makes the region's wines so magical. It has mouthwatering notes of citrus, oceanic minerality, stone fruits, herbs, and subtle notes of caramel.
Everything is presented with a racy and pristine precision. It doesn’t hurt that these bottles come with perfect provenance, having never been moved until pulled by Florian Lauer and disgorged.
