Hitting The Bullseye - Champagne Go-To:
Chartogne-Taillet Cuvée 'Sainte Anne' NV

Posted by Ian McFadden

For quite some time, Chartogne-Taillet has been among the most exciting addresses in Champagne.

Of course, the single vineyards are great places to witness this. As good as they are, the 'Sainte Anne' non-vintage drives this home with equal force.

Along with Bérèche's Brut Reserve, Chartogne-Taillet's 'Sainte Anne' is our go-to non-vintage champagne. At $61.95 per bottle, it massively overdelivers for the price tag.

Pulling off a truly great entry-level champagne is every bit as difficult as making a grand, top-flight champagne. Alexandre Chartogne simply nails it with the Sainte Anne.

Sainte Anne always impresses with its cut and balance. It combines this with real depth and notes of herbs, orchard fruits, spice, and minerality.

Alexandre Chartogne has followed the uber-conscientious viticulture that he was introduced to while working at Selosse. This focus on viticulture, along with sensitive winemaking, shows in the complexity and soil expression of the wines.

Few champagnes deliver so much for the money. I'm very happy to be able to offer this.
