We've been chasing after Foillard's 2021 Côte du Py for close to six months. We love this wine in any vintage, but the 2021 is special. Finding enough quantity for an offer has been difficult because 2021 was a short vintage.
It's a nimble and energetic vintage for Beaujolais. The 2021s very much feel like a throw-back vintage. Foillard wines in this year are really captivating.
The 2021 is a radiant and cut vintage of Côte du Py. There are incredibly pure layers of floral-tinged cherry fruit, spice, and a gentle undercurrent of smoky minerality.
