Today, we're excited to offer the stunning 2018 Levet Cote Rotie Les Journaries.
Les Journaries comes from 45-year-old vines primarily from the famed “La Landonne” vineyard. Compared to Chavaroche, Journaries is more elegant and graceful. Both wines are made following traditional methods that highlight the untamed fascination that northern Rhône wines can possess.
The 2018 joins the more powerful vintages, like 2005, 2009, and 2015. In this vintage, Les Journaries has a little more immediacy than this formidably structured wine usually does. For all its power, it possesses lots of freshness, precision, and finesse.
Les Journaries is unapologetically old-school northern Rhone rendered with beautiful clarity. We're always excited to offer this wine, but please keep in mind that quantities are very limited.
