"I found the quality of the Carillon 2017s to be generally excellent"

Carillon's are some of our favorite white Burgundies.

As Burghound makes clear, their 2017s are great.

Carillon is one of the most consistent white Burgundy producers that I know. When they nail a vintage, as they did in 2017, watch out.

The 2017s have stunning finesse, energy, and precision. When it comes to the elegance and mineral department, Perrières leads the charge. Perrières is the most laser-focused of Carillon's lineup.

The 2017 white Burgundies continue to amaze me. There's a balance and clarity to the wines that I find extraordinary.

I expect big things from the 2017s, and even still, Perrières deeply impresses. The focus, length, and kinetic core really wows me. This is Perrières at its best.

The great older bottles of Carillon that I've drunk have been astonishing. I see the 2017 Perrières evolving very nicely. This is a great snapshot of one of Burgundy's time-tested domaines hitting the bullseye.

Burghound: "A pungent yet elegant nose reflects notes of mineral reduction, citrus, quinine and a whiff of oak toast. The even sleeker and more tightly would middle weight flavors brim with minerality as well as plenty of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine shaping the linear and highly persistent finish. This needs more depth but the underlying material is present for that to occur."
