There's not much that needs to be said about Dauvissat's Forest.

Along with Raveneau's Butteaux and Montée de Tonnerre, Dauvissat's Forest is one of the most sought-after and ageworthy 1er Crus.
In Dauvissat's hands, Forest brims with notes of saline-inflected crushed rocks and bright citrus fruits. It's a mesmerizing wine that ages beautifully.
I'm very happy to offer Dauvissat's 2024 La Forest. It's impossible to discuss Dauvissat's. 2024s and not mention the incredibly low yields. Just to underscore this, I'll mention that no Les Clos, Petit Chablis, Séchet, Montée de Tonnerre, or Irancy were produced.
The wines that Dauvissat did produce are incredible, and Forest is certainly a high point. As quoted in Burghound, Vincent Dauvissat describes 2024 as an "old school" vintage and compares it to the "we made in the 1960s and 1970s."
The 2024 Forest is concentrated, bracing, and emphatically mineral. I'm going to Burghound's note at length because it nails the wine: "The strikingly rich broad-shouldered flavors possess imposing size, weight and power while flashing a borderline aggressive minerality on the hugely long, balanced and built-to-age finale."
I'll wrap this up by saying that Dauvissat did amazing work in 2024. This is a modest parcel in a short vintage. Don't miss this!
