The Burghound quote above makes it clear that Bachelet's 2023s are seriously good. They serve as textbook examples of how Bachelet can craft wines that seamlessly meld intensity and precision.

Today, I'm happy to offer one of the high points of the collection, the 2023 1er Cru Les Corbeaux.
Corbeaux is a mysterious little plot of dirt, prone to being overlooked, as it is sandwiched directly next to the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin and the village of Gevrey-Chambertin itself. The vineyard is tough to classify, yet the choicest parcels create a wine that mirrors the complexity of the site, and the mysteriousness that surrounds Corbeaux always makes it undervalued.
Bachelet's Gevrey Corbeaux comes from very old vines, ranging from 60 to 70 years of age. It is a powerful, deep, and complex wine. It always shows an impressive concentration and Gevrey's typical muscle, but it carries its weight effortlessly, leaving an impression of fineness.
The 2023 Corbeaux is grandly structured and seriously compelling. This is a wine that's forceful and packed with nuance. The architecture of this wine announces that it will evolve beautifully.
For me, this sums up what makes red Burgundy so magical. I'm very happy to have another opportunity to offer it.

Burghound: "A cool yet ripe nose reflects plenty of sauvage character on the wild dark berry, plum and freshly turned earth. There is excellent intensity to the bigger-bodied and notably more powerful flavors that are also markedly concentrated and particularly so for the vintage, all wrapped in a firm, serious and very much built-to-age finale. Impressive."
