It's hard not to be excited. I never get to offer Chevillon's Les St-Georges,

1er Cru Les St-Georges

If Nuits-St-Georges had a Grand Cru, it would be Les St-Georges. It's the most complete, complex, and aristocratic of the Nuits 1er Crus.

Chevillon is the king of Nuits-St-Georges. His parcel is only 0.6ha. You get the picture.

The 2022s at Chevillon are jaw-droppingly good. We agree with Burghound when he writes, "2022 is as good a vintage as Chevillon has made, and that's saying something as the quality is almost never less than excellent."

The Les St-Georges is deeply etched with thundering length and complexity. There's serious intensity delivered with poise and clarity. Les St. Georges ages amazingly well and this is clearly structured for the long haul.

I wish that I had more to offer. I've had so many absolutely stunning bottles of old Les St. Georges that it's become an essential part of my cellar. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.

Burghound: "Here the wood influence is also nicely subtle on the floral and spice-inflected red pinot, cherry and soft earth-suffused aromas. There is good detail to the bigger, richer and more obviously muscular flavors that manage to remain reasonably refined on the youthfully austere, refreshing and lightly stony finish that is compact, powerful and very clearly built-to-age. This is very much a 'buy and forget' LSG but one that eventually should be well-worth the wait. In a word, outstanding."
