"In short, this is potentially brilliant." -Burghound

Leflaive has long been one of the benchmark producers of white Burgundy. The domaine exists within the rarefied realm of Coche-Dury, Lafon, Roulot, and Ramonet.

While Leflaive's wines from the 80s and 90s are simply superb. It is abundantly clear that Leflaive's wines from the past decade are at that level. Things have obviously kicked into high gear.

Leflaive's 2022s are breathtakingly good. They are so finely detailed, cut, and multifaceted.

Pucelles is undoubtedly one of the high points. Of course, this isn't that much of a surprise. Pucelles is Leflaive's top 1er Cru and arguably Puligny's best 1er Cru. Like Meursault Perrieres, Pucelles can easily compete with Grand Crus. It possesses a riveting grandeur and supreme elegance. The depth, clarity, and overall completeness are captivating.

This is particularly true of the 2022. This is an edition of the wine that's both fine-tuned and intense. Burghound captures this well when he writes, "This beauty is quite understated with the requisite balance and underlying material to reward long-term keeping."

This is an utterly beautiful bottle of white Burgundy that boldly underscores that Leflaive is at the top of their game. I'm very happy to have the opportunity to offer it at such sharp pricing.

Title

Burghound: "Here too the nose is cool and restrained with a discreet application of wood framing the beautifully layered aromas of honeysuckle, white peach, citrus confit, spice and a variety of floral nuances and in particular, acacia blossom. The refined and strikingly textured medium weight flavors possess excellent mid-palate concentration before terminating in a highly persistent, impeccably well-balanced and markedly dry, but not really austere, finale. This beauty is quite understated with the requisite balance and underlying material to reward long-term keeping. In short, this is potentially brilliant."
