Lamy's Bourgogne Blanc Les Chataigners has become one of my go-to white Burgundy values.
We first offered the 2014 Bourgogne Chatagners in February of 2019, and I'm happy to have another opportunity to offer it.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a white Burgundy at this price point that competes with Lamy's Bourgogne Chataigners.
Hubert Lamy is one of the standard-bearers for St. Aubin. His St. Aubin "Derrière Chez Edouard" and Criots-Batard-Montrachet are aggressively hunted down by serious collectors.
Across the board, Lamy's wines are grandly sculpted with eye-opening rigor. Their track-record for aging owes a lot to their density and firm, mineral backbones.
The Bourgogne Blanc Les Chataigners is marked by a steely and stony minerality.
The 2014 vintage produced simply extraordinary white Burgundies. It's one of the best young white Burgundy vintages that I've tasted.
In this vintage, Les Chataigners has a beautiful combination of presence and verve. Along with serious drive, the 2014 Chataigners has serious length and lifted high-toned floral notes.
I anticipate a very strong response to this offer. When you offer a wine at this price point from the 2014 vintage, it will almost certainly disappear. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
