Roberto Conterno's work with Barbera is without peer.
I don't know of a Barbera available that offers as much complexity or pays dividends in the cellars like Conterno's.
What separates Conterno's Barbera from the pack is its layered power and its simultaneous walk on tip-toes quality. The combination is really amazing, especially after 5-10 years in the cellar.
The 2018 Barbera is a stunning and multifaceted effort. It has incredible balance combining saturating intensity with an intricate and detailed structure. The equilibrium it reaches is really impressive.
I'll keep this brief. Few wines of the Piedmont have a following like Conterno's Barbera Francia, and we have a very limited amount. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media: "The 2018 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Francia is an explosion of floral, savory and mineral notes. Like the Cerretta, the Francia Barbera is quite delicate in this vintage. It has a bit darker fruit, stronger savory undertones and a touch more depth. It is a beguiling, beautifully layered wine that unfolds graciously over time."
