Italy 1989-2018: Brovia, Burlotto, Cappellano, Conterno, Miani, Montev

Over the past couple of months, we've been building our Italian inventory. Today, I'm happy to present some of our top purchases.

You'll find everything from Bartolo Mascarello to Miani and Paolo Bea.

I'm especially excited about the 2008 Brovia Villero and 2006 Burlotto Monvigliero. Both wines are totally stunning. You'll also find a healthy amount of Montevertine, including large format Pergole Torte.

Among the wines below, there are a few that deserve a special mention. First and foremost, there's Serafino Rivella's 2016 Barbaresco Montestefano. The wine is simply astonishingly good. Boncie's 2017 La Trame is a wine of power, class, and nuance. Baricchi's Barbaresco Riserva Rose delle Casasse and Masseria del Pino's Etna Rosso should not be overlooked. They are fascinating wines that don't receive the attention that they deserve.
