This may very well be the most extensive Ganevat offering we've done.
It covers everything from his seldom seen sparkling wine to his sweet Sul Q, hitting nearly all of his most important wines and throwing a few obscure ones in as well. There is also a healthy amount of large formats.
Simply put, Ganevat's wines are incredibly impressive. They have a combination of elegance and concentration that amazes. Above all, they possess an incredible clarity.
These are threads that carry across the entire dizzying range. It's easy to claim that no winemaker on earth makes as many different wines. Ganevat typically makes 30 or 40 different cuvées each vintage.
The list covers a lot of rarities. There's Marguerite, which is based on Melon-Queue-Rouge or "red-tailed" Chardonnay (a red-stemmed strain of Chardonnay that's completely unique to Jura) from vines planted in 1900. There are also magnums of his Poulsard L'Enfant Terrible.
There are also selections from Ganevat's negociant project. Some of the wines, like J'en Veux Encore, have a cult following. Others are relatively well known, like Madelon, Jaja du Ben, and De Toute Beauté, which blends ancient Jura varietals with Gamay from Beaujolais. Les Fanfans s'Amusent takes obscurity to a far extreme featuring Red Muscat from Jura aged in amphora.
With each passing year, Ganevat's wines become increasingly hard to come by. I'll let you get to the list. Quantities are very, very limited. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
