Jérôme Prévost: Les Béguines & Fac-simile
Les Béguines Extra Brut (2010)
Les Béguines Extra Brut (2012)
Fac-Simile Rosé Extra Brut (2012)

Jérôme Prévost turns out tiny quantities of fascinating, insanely good Champagne.

And the world has taken notice. Finding Prévost in quantity has become an adventure. The Fac-Simile Rosé can seem impossible at times.

Today, I'm very happy to offer two vintages of Prévost's Les Béguines (2010 & 2012) and 2012 Fac-Simile Rosé.

I should underscore that quantities are extremely limited and allocations seem inevitable.

Prévost has a tiny 2.2ha single vineyard in Gueux, an area where the soils are very unique. In these parts Champagne's famous chalk soils are buried deep under a mix of sand and calcareous clay laden with sea fossils.

It's here, in Prévost's hands, that Meunier is endowed with a regal, mineral-infused structure. Meunier's power is harnessed and rendered with a detailed intensity and unique soil-expressive breed.

The 2010 Béguines really struts the mineral depth and detail that Prévost achieves. This bottle is starting to come into peak form. Over the past year, it's become much more expressive. It's gained presence and simultaneously greater refinement.

We've been very impressed by the 2012s. Both Béguines and Fac-Simile show an amazingly vivid, laser-like focus and profoundly long and mineral-laden finishes. The Béguines is super-deep, cut and clear. The 2012 Fac-Simile is incredibly nuanced in its complexity.

I'm going to wrap this up. There's no point fanning the fire. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
