In 2013, the Riesling Kellerberg struts in full glory. Kellerberg is arguably the Wachau's greatest site. It always has a commanding presence, but for us what separates Kellerberg is its ability to deliver elegance and delineation amidst its attention grabbing power.
The 2013 Riesling Kellerberg delivers a deeply etched, driving minerality of crushed stone backed by zingy citrus notes and vibrant acidity. The total package – the poise, the packed, dynamic mid-palate – is lovely.
We expect really big things from Pichler's 2013 Riesling Kellerberg. We've had a lot of older bottles of Pichler's Kellerberg that were simply killer. Everything is in place for the 2013 to become a legend from this great site.
