Like No Other:
2025 Tempier Bandol Rosé

Posted by Ian McFadden

There is only one rosé that we would welcome fall with.

It belongs to a very small class of rosés that really flourish in the cellar. It shares this unique status with wines like Château Simone, Cotat, and Valentini's Cerasuolo. Catching a Tempier with 5 or more years of age is delightful.

Having placed Tempier's Rosé in this context, it's easier to grasp why we would offer a rosé in the fall. We've made a tradition of offering Tempier's Rosé each fall. Each year, the offer blows up, and we spend the next 24 hours digging our way out of emails.

Simply put, Tempier's Bandol Rosé is special. Few rosés combine deliciousness and seriousness the way that Tempier's does.

It's a wine that's seemingly loved by everyone and plays many roles for many different people. In addition to aging well, young Tempier Rosé is absolutely delightful with enough depth and structure to stand up to almost any food that you throw at it.

It's hard to think of another rosé that pulls off structure and interest with joyful drinkability so well. It offers depth and power alongside a dazzling, bright backbone. The classic profile is on bold display - flowers, herbs, citrus, spice, and a subtle, scorched earth minerality.

The effect is that finding Tempier in good quantity is extremely difficult. As we've said before, this is a wine that's here today and gone tomorrow.
