For me, Roumier's Chambolle is the greatest villages wine in all of Burgundy.
Even when you stack it up against other top villages Burgundies, you realize that it exists on its own plane.
This is one of the wines that I buy every year for my personal cellar. With that said, the classicism and detail of the 2014 make it special. Burghound has written that Roumier's 2014s can compete with the stunning 2015s.
While the 2015s will undoubtedly be powerful and awe-inspiring wines, the 2014s work on an entirely different register: finely etched delicacy. Roumier's Chambolle AC very often exemplifies what Chambolle is all about. The 2014 lays bare much of what's great about this wine.
In his tasting note, Burghound calls attention to the "excellent delineation" and "fine length on the saline and linear finale." This starts to get to the heart of the wine. The 2014 is a gloriously transparent, silky and refined example of the wine. It possesses incredible finesse and spellbinding aromatics of floral notes, minerality, spices and bright red fruits.
Any time that we offer Roumier's Chambolle, it always sells out in a flash. This is an absolutely stunning example. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.

2014 Roumier Chambolle-Musigny
Burghound: "This is quite fresh with its elegant array of red and blue pinot fruit, rose petal and soft spice nuances. There is excellent delineation to the vibrant and mineral-inflected medium-bodied flavors that deliver fine length on the saline and linear finale. This is a lovely Chambolle villages."
