Roches Neuves is one of the Loire's elite estates. For many people, Mémoires is the top wine. Its multifaceted personality is certainly profound, but so rich in mystery that you never seem to fully get a handle on the wine. Mémoires amazes in how it seamlessly weaves such layered tapestry.
Both 2016 and 2017 are concentrated vintages of Les Mémoires. They boast the intensity, grandeur, and poise that the wine is capable of.
The 2016 Mémoires stands out for the way that it carries the concentration with harmony and intricate vibrancy. The wine soars with spice, flowers, earth, and dark fruits, all effortlessly woven together.
The 2017 vintage in the Loire has an amazing purity and a high-toned floral profile. Across the region, spring frost reduced yields, but the conditions at harvest were close to ideal. The 2017 Mémoires has a gripping presence and a bright and lifted profile. It has a pitch-perfect clarity.
Les Mémoires represents their magnum opus. It's always a pleasure to offer. Please keep in mind that only 200 or so cases are produced in a typical vintage. There's never very much Mémoires to go around.
