Master of Meursault
2011 Roulot Meursault

We continue to be amazed by how 2011 White Burgundies are drinking. Today, I'm happy to present one of our go-to 2011s.

For the past six months, we've been quietly selling Roulot's 2011 Meursault. It felt like time to share it with a wider audience.

Like so many collectors, sommeliers and wine aficionados, we have long been absolutely obsessed with the wines of Roulot. Simply put, these are some of the most riveting and mineral expressions of Chardonnay on the planet.

For as much as we love Roulot, it's very, very rare that we're able to do offers. The combination of Roulot's rabid fan club and the limited quantities make offers virtually impossible.

With each passing vintage, it seems that Roulot goes from strength-to-strength. Which is to say that 2011 is a stunning collection for Roulot. The wines have a poise, a saturating mineral presence and just a beautiful clear elegance.

Roulot's 2011 Meursault delivers a really impressive amount of tension and length, boasting a mid-palate jammed with stone fruits, minerals and flowers. It's clear that you're in the hands of a master. We've drunk a handful and each time we're more impressed by it.

The Meursault is sourced from Clos de la Baronne a parcel that was owned by Domaine Manuel. The site is a new acquisition for Roulot, who split the former Domaine Manuel with Dominique Lafon. This is very exciting for fans of both domaines.

The disconnect between supply and demand when it comes to Roulot is just flat out brutal. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
