Along with Morey's Meursault 1er Cru Perrières and Bâtard-Montrachet, their Tessons forms a holy trinity of their lineup.
This is one of the white Burgundies that cruises under the radar.

It's with the Tessons that value and quality intersect in a major way. That's why Pierre Morey's Tesson is always on my buy list.
At this discounted price, this is a not-to-be-missed deal.
While Roulot is the producer most closely associated with the Tessons, the site has enjoyed renown for centuries. Tessons is a lieu-dit, but its widely held in the same regard as some of Meursault's 1er Crus. Its profile is textbook Meursault. Tesson has a lavishness, satiny texture, and dark minerality, but also levity and agility.
The 2020 flaunts all of these signatures. I love its combination of sleek finesse with gripping mineral presence. We completely agree with Burghound when he writes, "This is an excellent Meursault villages that should age effortlessly. One to strongly consider."
The Morey family has been in Burgundy since the sixteenth century and in Meursault since 1793. Pierre's father, Auguste, worked as a sharecropper for the Lafon family. When Pierre founded the domaine in 1971, he was aided by his father's métayage agreements with Lafon. From 1988 until 2008, Pierre was the cellar master of Domaine Leflaive. Today, Pierre has largely handed over the reins to his daughter, Anne, and the wines haven't missed a beat.
I'm happy to be able to offer a wine of this caliber at this price.
