Mugneret-Gibourg Two-Ways:
2013 Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée
& Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots

Every vintage, I search high and low for Mugneret-Gibourg.

These days amassing enough for an offer seems like a full-time job. Today, to a very small group of Burgundy fanatics, I'm happy to offer Mugneret-Gibourg's 2013 Vosne and NSG Chaignots.

As many of you would imagine, 2013 was a short vintage for Mugneret-Gibourg. What did get released is heartbreakingly clear.

To start with the Vosne, it really struts just how transparent and fine 2013 is at Mugneret-Gibourg. For me there's no better example of a village-level Vosne. It's seductively textured and elegant. With a decade of aging, it becomes stunning.

The 2013 1er Cru Chaignots may be the most elegant and the most overtly mineral edition of this wine that we've tasted. Where the best producers in Nuits-St-Georges can take the commune’s chunky earthiness and give it lift and clarity, the Mugneret sisters magically wrap it all up in irresistible velvet and silk.

I'm going to end it there. These wines are in such short supply and they are bottles that nearly every Burgundy buyer that I speak with loves. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
