Stand Alone Vosne-Romanée
2008 & 2012 Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée

I've worried that I'd never be able to able to do a Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne offering again.

It's one of Burgundy's best village wines and people have taken notice.

Mugneret-Gibourg's Vosne has always been difficult to come by, but now finding the wine in any quantity can seem impossible. At the end of the day, what I'm offering is a fairly small parcel, but I'm just happy to be able to offer it.

It's easy to fall for Mugneret-Gibourg's Vosne. Few wines combine a seductive texture with an ultra-fine and elegant precision. For me there's no better example of a village-level Vosne.

I'm very happy to offer two of my favorite vintages of Mugneret-Gibourg's Vosne, 2008 and 2012.

The 2012 is a concentrated example of their Vosne, boasting more spice and polished swagger than the norm. There is a really lovely elegance to the wine. Layers of spice, floral notes and earthy undertones mingle. The beautifully suave texture of Mugneret-Gibourg is definitely on display. The density and balance make me confident that this is going to age really well.

The 2008 is a gorgeously fine-tuned example. It possesses an incredible amount of finesse and mineral-inflected energy. For all of its tension and its lithe frame, the 2008 delivers a really seductive textural presence. I've lost count of how many bottles of this I've drunk over the years.

With 5 to 8 years of age, it becomes a heart-breaking tapestry of suave, velvety dark fruits, earth and exotic spices. I'm happy to offer an example that's just starting to reach this point and another that very well may not reach its prime for a decade. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
