This all-too-often overlooked bottle can deliver some serious value relative to Leflaive's other 1er Crus.
Leflaive has long been one of the benchmark producers of white Burgundy. The domaine exists within the rarefied realm of Coche-Dury, Lafon, Roulot, and Ramonet.
While Leflaive's wines from the 80s and 90s are simply superb, my favorite wines that I've tasted from the domaine are from the past decade. Things have obviously kicked into high gear.
You can expect the 2022 Clavoillon to have an amazing, soaring, luminous quality. It's a vintage of extreme balance and profound harmony. The Clavoillon has a stunning brilliance in its delivery of minerality and citrus flavors.
