If Les Clos is all muscle and force, Les Preuses will beguile with its finesse. It's a wine of supreme length and clarity; it is a fine-tuned expression of Chablis.
Dauvissat produced an amazing cast of 2018s. They combine power and richness with snap, tension, and Chablisien minerality.
As the Burghound quote above makes clear, the 2018 Les Preuses is stunning. It has an incredible combination of grandness of scale, saline cut, and layered complexity. It has gripping intensity, but there's also a gorgeous delicacy to the wine.

Burghound: "A wonderfully broad-ranging nose is composed by restrained aromas of mineral reduction, floral, pear, apple and iodine scents. As is usually the case this is notably finer if less powerful and intense, indeed the mouthfeel of the cool middle weight flavors is almost delicate though this texture contrasts considerably with the lingering and strikingly complex finish that is, like the La Forest, almost chewy. This hugely long effort is one of the wines of the vintage though note well that patience will be required."
