There are few, if any, examples of villages-level Chambolles that deliver as much for the price.
The Chambolle has a beautifully suave texture and gorgeous aromatics of spices and red fruits. Hudelot-Noëllat captures the seductive refinement of Chambolle in an extraordinarily delicious way. Vintage after vintage, this is an irresistible bottle.
The 2023 is especially charming. As William Kelley notes in his review, "it will offer a broad drinking window." There's so much immediate appeal, but it's also easy to sense the underlying structure that will allow it to age nicely. It delivers bright berry fruit and a vivid acidity that's seamlessly wrapped in velvet.
