This is a wine that we offer every vintage. For us, it's a don't-miss wine. With that said, the 2024 is poised to be a glorious vintage of the wine.
The delicate, transparent style of Drouhin provides the perfect platform for the 2024 vintage to shine, especially the Clos des Mouches.
The 2024 Clos des Mouches is vivid and terroir-stamped. It has super-clear and spice-inflected bright red fruits. This is an agile vintage of the wine with loads of nimble finesse, sneaky depth, and nuance.Â
Simply put, Clos des Mouches is a very special site. If Beaune is known for being somewhat sturdy and rustic, Clos des Mouches is something of an anomaly; the wine is strikingly elegant, suave, and silky in texture. Drouhin's Clos des Mouches is a wine that nearly always has some space in those glossy cellars filled with Grand Cru Burgundy and First Growth Bordeaux.
Drouhin's Clos des Mouches is one of Burgundy's little secrets. I’ve been to many dinners where an old bottle of Clos des Mouches has outshined many of the Grand Crus at the table. It's a pleasure to offer this beautiful example of the wine.Â
