Nebbiolo is one of the world's great grapes, and in the northern Piedmont where Nervi-Conterno's is located, Nebbiolo assumes a radiance and snap that lends itself wonderfully to rosés.
Simply put, this is a rosé that excels at deliciousness.
The 2021 is an especially zippy vintage for the wine. As always, it offers a very nice tension between high-toned floral notes and juicy, bright red fruits. There's an intriguing herbal undercurrent along with a punchy mineral cut.
The 2021 Il Rosato is a lovely version of this wine. It may very well be our favorite to date. I should close with a warning. Anytime that we offer the Il Rosato, it sells out quickly. We suggest that you get your orders in early.
