If it hasn't happened already, there's no doubt in my mind that people will speak about Colin-Morey's wines in the same hushed way that they speak of Coche-Dury and Jean-Marc Roulot.
It's hard to remember a single White Burgundy producer that has caused so much fervor with Burgundy collectors.
They are extraordinary wines. Pierre-Yves Colin is perhaps the most exciting young winemaker in Burgundy.

This is Chardonnay at its most intense, its most pure, its most integrated. They are crystalline expressions of citrus, flower, stone fruits and mineral with explosive complexity and rigorous detail.
Colin-Morey's wines are very obviously some of the greatest White Burgundies that are being made anywhere, by anyone.
Naturally, his reputation has swelled over the past few years despite very modest quantities. Last year, when we offered mostly Villages-level wines of Colin-Morey's 2010s, the offer sold out in no time. This year we're happy to have gotten a bigger allocation, including some depth in 1er Crus. This is all relative - the quantities remain small.
When I read that Pierre-Yves told Jancis Robinson that "Riesling is the model for me," my understanding of the wines deepened immediately. You can feel a Riesling vibe in his wines with their elegant threads of acidity, how they carry their concentration with no impression of heaviness, and their impeccably sculpted quality.
This bright acidity pulsates through Colin-Morey's 2011. This is boldly on display in his Chenevottes. The 2011 Chenevottes boasts rich textures of peaches and other stone fruits along with herbs and flowers, all of which are drenched in minerals and backed by a sparkling acidity. Jancis Robinson captures it really well when she writes, "Racy and sumptuous – already gorgeous! So open and rich and yet precise."
The overall harmony of Chenevottes showcases the 2011 vintage at its best. The combination of creaminess, verve, minerality and detail are really impressive.
