"Anchored by a fresh, vital structure and a pungently chalky minerality" -Peter Liem

Bérèche has quickly become one of our favorite growers in Champagne.

And their Campania Remensis Rosé is the bottling that we keep opening again and again.

Campania Remensis is exactly how we like rosé. It possesses a commanding presence and length delivering crystalline, chalky minerality and amazingly complex aromatics.

Bérèche's signature is delivering deeply vinous Champagnes with a pitch-perfect clarity. Campania Remensis exemplifies this and delivers an energy and resonant harmony that makes it truly noteworthy.

Campania Remensis is a new wine for Bérèche. It's composed of 65 percent Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and a touch of Meunier. It's an assemblage rosé meaning that the color comes from around 5% red wine being added and not from being macerated on the skin.

Raphaël Bérèche joined his family's domaine around a decade ago and swiftly established himself as one of the region's most talented young growers. Bérèche has vines in both the Marnes and Montagne de Reims. Campania Remensis comes from Ormes, a gravelly terroir in the northern section of Montagne de Reims called the Petite Montagne (the same area where Prevost and many noteworthy others are.)

Bérèche's wines are in short supply. Most people who taste them make a major effort to seek them out in quantity. It's taken us a lot of work to get this small parcel together.
