As we said a couple of weeks ago, Dauvissat nailed the 2018 vintage.

Dauvissat's Vaillons always impresses with its pointed minerality and intensity. The 2018 is an extreme expression of the wine. 

Vincent Dauvissat compares the vintage to the legendary pair of 1947 and 1959. Like 1947 and 1959, 2018 is a riper vintage. What's extraordinary about Dauvissat's 2018s is how they marry tension and power.

The 2018 Vaillons is a brilliant summary of this marriage. It's a taut, kinetic wine that delivers serious impact. Marriage is the key word here - the wine has an insane harmony. When Vaillons hits the mark, it's an amazing bottle of Chablis. It might not be the grandest expression, but its power and mineral focus really impresses.
