Purity In Chablis - Rare:
2017 Tribut Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy

Posted by Ian McFadden

Tribut's Chablis rarely sees the light of day.

Today's offer is a case in point. There are only two other listings for Tribut's 2017 Beauroy in the U.S. It's also worth pointing out that we're offering the Beauroy at the lowest price around.

Tribut's wines have long been aggressively hunted down by those in the know. If they haven't quite achieved the status that they deserve, it's because the wines rarely see the light of day.

Tribut's 2017s are stunning. They have the richness and presence of the vintage with an intense salty, Chablisienne minerality coursing through it.

The story here is that Laurent Tribut married Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat, the daughter of René Dauvissat. The Dauvissats purchased choice parcels to give to their children to become winemakers, which is the land Laurent and Marie-Clotilde farm.

Tribut was welcomed with open arms to the Dauvissat winemaking process; the two domaines share everything from pickers to printers, and until recently, Tribut made wines in Dauvissat's cellar.

It's very easy to detect a kinship with the wines of Dauvissat. In Tribut, you encounter a similar classically structured, deeply complex Chablis minerality, the same intense, sweeping notes of stone fruits, flowers, and minerals.

The 2017 Beauroy is the genuine article, boasting oceanic notes and citrus. There's a beautiful refinement and focus to the wines. The total package is very compelling.

Anytime we offer Tribut's wines, they sell out quickly. I'll wrap this up. The 2017 Beauroy is not to be missed. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
