In no time Colin-Morey has catapulted himself to the highest echelon of White Burgundy producers. The wines are intense and painstakingly precise. When the style gets applied to Charmes, you get a deep, textured complexity combined with an electric and refined core.
Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes delivers wines of impressive mineral density and weight. Charmes can be monumental in its saturation and regal elegance. Colin-Morey endows the 1er Cru with a lift, cut and ultra-fine finesse that elevates Charmes to a place that few others can achieve.
This is especially true in 2013. We've been loving the 2013 White Burgundy vintage. There's such a crystalline purity and vivacity to the vintage.
Obviously, this is a vintage where Colin-Morey's style flourishes. The Charmes is particularly brilliant in 2013. There's a depth of complexity combined with a mineral cut and finessed length.
Every time that we offer Colin-Morey's wines, they sell out in a flash. There's no point in fanning the fire. I'll close by saying that Charmes doesn't get much better than this.
