PYCM In Prime Form Revisited:
2015 Colin-Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot Cuvée Clement et Emma

Posted by Ian McFadden

There may be no one in Chassagne making more compelling wines than Pierre-Yves Colin. His touch with Chassagne is masterful.

Colin-Morey is mentioned in the same breath as Coche-Dury and Roulot.

Like Roulot, Colin-Morey's 2015s are stunning. The wines combine a tactile grip and density with a bright, punchy energy that very few other collections do. This is on bold display in the Abbaye de Morgeot Clement et Emma.

The 2015 Abbaye de Morgeot Clement et Emma offers rigor and textural depth. It's delivered with a brilliant clarity and serious tension. There's a very cool fruit profile of citrus and a cut to the wine that also boasts a beautifully layered persistence.

There's no doubt that Pierre-Yves Colin is at the top of his game these days. The 2015 Abbaye de Morgeot Clement et Emma drives home just how careful the winemaking is. The wine is a startling success

This shouldn't be missed. And this is definitely the time. The pricing has been steadily climbing for the last few months and I doubt I'll see the wine again at this sharp pricing.
