Few wines on the planet imprint themselves on your memory the way Selosse's do. He is the most original, most game-changing producer in Champagne.
Everything Selosse produces stands out for its uniqueness and just how compelling it is. With that said, we've always had a soft spot for Selosse's Rosé. Catching a Selosse Rosé when it's perfectly on point is a devastatingly impressive experience.
This is the first time that we've been able to offer Selosse's Rosé. All Selosse is extremely limited (allocations are doled out in bottles, not cases), but the rosé is an extreme case. It can seem nearly impossible to find any quantity of it.
The magic of the wine is how it combines a penetrating minerality wrapped around rich, layered complexity. The two are seamlessly integrated. Ultimately, it's this balancing act that makes the wine so thrilling.
The rosé possesses a regal, statuesque presence and grandeur that immediately announces itself. Explosive and detailed notes of chalk, flowers and kaleidoscopic red fruits jump from the glass. As extroverted as Selosse's Rosé is, there's so much depth and nuance that it's a wine that begs for meditation.
This is a beautiful example of why Selosse is revered for his singular winemaking. Like I said earlier, we're not looking at a lot of wine. I strongly encourage you to jump on this as I can't imagine when the next opportunity will be to offer this again.
