Every year, we chase after Jamet's Côtes du Rhône and buy as much as we can find. It's never enough.
We typically offer the wine, and then it's gone in a matter of hours.
Jamet is one of the northern Rhône's famed domaines, and his Côtes du Rhône is a sought-after rarity. This is a wine that rarely sees the light of day. Currently, there's only one other listing for the 2018 in the country.
Jamet has long been the standard-bearer for traditional Côte-Rôtie. The Côtes du Rhône is all Syrah sourced from some vineyards within Côte-Rôtie and others just outside of it.
The Côtes du Rhône emphatically demonstrates the gracefulness and agility that makes Jamet's Côte-Rôtie so compelling. It's a wine that shows a lot of poise and detailed expressions of minerals, herbs, spice, savory elements, and florality. The aromatics simply soar.
The 2018 Côtes du Rhône is a powerful and layered example of the wine. It offers plenty of the power that you'd expect from the warm vintage, but also has a bright and fresh core that adds plenty of levity.
This is a modestly sized parcel and Jamet's Côtes du Rhône has a big following among Crush's customers. I'll bring this to a close. Please give us your ideal order, and we'll try our best.
