The wines of Giuseppe Rinaldi hardly need an introduction.
The wines are firmly in the pantheon of traditionalists and unrelentingly sought-after.
Following Giuseppe "Beppe" Rinaldi's death in 2018, his daughters Carlotta and Marta have continued the estate's unwavering classic style. If anything, the wine's soulful, finessed, and old-school signature has become even more clearly expressed.

As you can guess, finding the wines in quantity is very difficult. Today, I'm excited to offer Rinaldi's 2022 Dolcetto d'Alba & Barbera d'Alba. We've been slowly amassing enough of these wines for an offer.
Everything that the Rinaldi sisters touch seems to be given a level of seriousness, sternness, and complexity. While we love their Barolo, we enjoy drinking the more everyday bottlings, like Dolcetto and Barbera.
Rinaldi’s 2022 Dolcetto has a beautifully traditional feel and is packed with layered complexity. It offers up notes of dark cherries and plum, leather, and black licorice. We love how the wine combines the joyousness of fruit with an old-school sternness.
Regardless of vintage, Rinaldi's Barbera always stands out for being incisive and nimble. It's a style of Barbera that we enjoy. There's incredible purity to the wine's mineral core that's complicated by floral notes and spice. The 2022 has an extra punch that we enjoy.
