Since the 2004 vintage, Le Trame has been one of the two or three expressions of the Chianti region that we hold in the highest regard. It's a wine that dramatizes how great Sangiovese from Chianti Classico can be. It takes purity and soulfulness to the extreme.
Le Trame is a seriously complicated wine and evolves for hours in the glass, seeming to reveal another evocative wrinkle of complexity with each smell and taste. It's hard not to be taken by the harmony and sheer elegance of the wine.
In 2023, La Trame manages to work with the power and concentration of the vintage to weave together both power and finesse. There are notes of forest floor, herbs, and red fruits that are delivered with subtlety and beautiful clarity.
