It was nice to see people's enthusiasm for the wine. Boncie makes Sangiovese exactly as we like it. The wines are structured, nuanced, and offer a beautiful combination of lift and depth.

We've been working with the wines for sixteen years and it's been exciting to watch them gather a strong following recently. Along with producers like Montevertine and Castell'in Villa, Boncie has been an essential producer for those seeking soulful and ageable Sangiovese.
Chiesamonti made its debut in the 2018 vintage. It is sourced from the Castelnuovo Berardenga, a town adjacent to San Felice where Le Trame comes from. The soils here are stonier and Chiesamonti has a distinctive sleek elegance.
The 2020 Chiesamonti is certainly powerful but delivers its intensity with levity and grace. The overall harmony and clarity of expression is really impressive. We love the wine's texture and precision.
