Really lovely stuff - 2001 Dujac Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru

I've been sitting on this very small parcel for a while. It's hard for me to part with.

Dujac is one of Burgundy's elite estates. Whenever I taste there, I'm always shocked. Everything is elevated.

Dujac's 2001s are simply gorgeous. The '01 vintage is notorious for being a sleeper vintage. Early on, the 2001’s were eclipsed by the flashier, fleshier vintages of 1999 and 2002. With time, though, the vintage has revealed itself to be a gem for Burgundy purists.

The 2001s are beautifully mineral-driven, finessed and classic in their subtle complexity and proportions. There's a bouncy, ultra-bright acidity that I love.

The ‘01 Morey 1er Cru flaunts Dujac’s trademark intensity and refinement, while staying true to the hallmark purity and fierce minerality of the vintage. There’s a clear breeding and muscular beauty. Some of this class and substance is explained by the MSD 1er Cru being partially sourced from young vines in Clos de la Roche.

This is a bottle that's just starting to hit its stride. The 2001 Morey 1er Cru really stands out for its pristine mineral clarity. It shows 2001 at its best. Sadly, this is an extremely small parcel. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
