I can't recall ever being able to offer this many back-vintage red Burgundies. In the list below, you'll find everything from 1989 d'Angerville Ducs to 2010 Lafarge Bourgogne Rouge.
Also included below are two relatively new producers who are making compelling and fascinating wines. Both happen to be from Germany. Catharina Sadde of Les Horées is making Burgundies of heartbreaking precision and clarity. Bastian Wolber's younger brother is one half of the cult German producer Wassenhaus. Bastian soon followed his brother Christoph to Burgundy, and after working at Leflaive and Ganevat in Jura, he started producing wines under his own label. The wines are suavely textured and have haunting depth.
