The 2020 red Burgundy vintage is astonishing. It combines a dark saturating intensity, vibrancy, and lift. I share the common opinion that I haven't tasted a vintage quite like it.
Bertheau thrives in ripe vintages. The wine amazingly takes the ripeness of the 2020 vintage and renders it with an incredible balance and precision. The 2020 Chambolle offers up a seductive velvety texture and aromatic complexity.
I'm always excited to have another opportunity to offer the Chambolle AC. Not many wines at this price point get to the heart of what makes red Burgundy beautiful the way that Bertheau's Chambolle does.
