It's always exciting to offer Bachelet-Monnot's wines from Maranges, especially La Fussière Blanc.
Bachelet-Monnot produces revelatory expressions of Burgundy. In 2005, brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet founded Bachelet-Monnot. In no time, their wines were turning the heads of even the most seasoned Burgundy tasters.

To this day, whenever we give customers their wines, they are blown away by them.
The domaine is in Maranges, a village at the southern limit of the Côte de Beaune. In many ways, the brothers’ work there is the beating heart of the estate. This says a lot. They have holdings in some of the greatest sites throughout the Côte de Beaune: St. Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly, Puligny 1er Cru Referts, and Bâtard-Montrachet.
The style of Bachelet-Monnot is animated by impeccable balance and precision. Their Marange bottlings maintain an expertly judged rustic edge that stays true to the appellation. However, they also manage to tease out an extraordinary amount of finesse from their sites. In short, Maranges is their home turf, and they elevate the appellation far beyond what you'd expect.
The 2023 Fussière Blanc has an incredible amount of balance, clarity, and presence. It's gripping and intense with lift and focus. There's nice length and a gorgeous tapering elegance on the finish.
Bachelet-Monnots are revelatory expressions of Burgundy. The 2023 Fussière Blanc underscores the caliber of winemaking at this domaine. I'm very happy to offer this.

Bughound: "A discreet application of wood sets off ripe white orchard fruit aromas trimmed in lemon confit and an interesting hint of orange peel. There is both more volume and better mid-palate density to the almost as mineral-driven flavors that are rich and caressing while exhibiting fine length on the clean, dry and balanced finale. In a pinch this could be a reasonable choice for early drinking but a few years of keeping should prove beneficial."
