Without a doubt, Chave's Hermitage is one of the great wines in the world.
One of our favorite customers is fond of saying that Chave is the least expensive collectible wine. This is a bottle that can definitely hang with the top wines of the world.
Without a doubt, Chave's Hermitage is one of the great wines in the world. No one coaxes more intensity, complexity, or refinement from Syrah than Chave.
Today, I'm very happy to offer Chave's 2020 Hermitage.
Chave's 2020 Hermitage has a regal grandeur. It's gorgeously layered and complete. There are heartbreaking aromatics of violets and other flowers, spice, and smoke. The palate shows a structured core with an ultra-fine driving length. There's no doubt that this is one of the highlights of the 2020 vintage in the northern Rhône.
The Chave family holds parcels in Hermitage's finest vineyard sites (Les Bessards, Meal, l’Ermite, Peleat, and Les Beaumes), and Jean-Louis blends these with an unparalleled mastery.
Chave’s masterful Hermitage is the crown jewel of the northern Rhône. The 2020 seems destined to be a monument to Chave's work for decades to come.
