I'm very happy to offer a single owner cellar of perfectly stored Sauternes going back almost sixty years.
Aged Sauternes is one of the world's great wines. We don't offer Sauternes very often and it's rare that we're able to offer wines with this much age on it at relatively accessible prices. I should point out that along with six different wines that are priced below $100, all the pricing is very sharp.
Across the range this is a very strong group of Sauternes vintages - '55, '67, '70, '75 etc. Please check out the full list below. It includes many of Sauternes' greats - La Tour-Blanche, Riessec, Guiraud...
All of the wines are from a cellar that we've be drinking quite a bit from and every bottle has been amazingly fresh. Every time that we've opened a bottle from this cellar, I've been shocked at how pristine it's been. This includes bottles like a '67 Dr. Konstantin Frank Riesling Spätlese from New York's Finger Lakes and a '71 Hugel Gewurtztraminer. Last weekend, I drank a half-bottle of 1970 Rieussec that took a bit to open up, but was completely gorgeous.
I'm going to keep this short. We only have a very small amount of each wine. This is one of those special offers that I rarely get to do. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
