Selosse is revered for his singular winemaking. Apply this philosophy to the lieu-dit wines, and the results are nothing short of magic. They are incredible and unforgettable expressions of Champagne.
Les Carelles is in Mesnil. In some ways this is a really unusual expression of Mesnil. It has a richness that people don't generally associate with Mesnil - it's as much a sign of Selosse's distinctive style as it is a testament to his ultra-conscientious work in the vineyards. It does have Mesnil's distinctive chalky minerality and super-refined and precise kinetic energy.
There's no doubt that Carelles is one of the most thought-provoking wines out there. There is an outrageous spectrum and multi-dimensional presentation.
Finding Selosse's lieux-dits in quantity is always difficult. Carelles is one of the most sought after, making it even more difficult. Please give us your ideal order and we'll try our best.
