Hubert Lamy is one of the standard-bearers for St. Aubin. Today, I'm happy to offer Lamy's 2023 Clos de la Chatenière VV for $164.95 per bottle.
La Chatenière, along with En Remilly and Murgers des Dents de Chien, are considered St. Aubin's top sites. It's a steep, very well exposed climat that delivers an enveloping and powerful minerality with a driving tension.
The 2023 Chatenière boasts an incisive punch with incredible detail. I'm very impressed by how the wine combines grip with laser focus and beautiful refinement.
Every vintage, I put in a lot of effort hunting down Lamy's Chatenière. The 2023 makes clear why I put so much effort into finding this wine.
