Simply put, Mugneret-Gibourg's 2017s are awesome.

I've made every effort possible to land enough quantities of the wines for offers. Over the past few months, we've offered Vosne and the Nuits Chaignots. Today, I'm happy to present one of their Grand Crus, Ruchottes-Chambertin.

Finding enough Mugneret-Gibourg Grand Crus for an offering is close to impossible. The last time that we were able to offer any of Mugneret-Gibourg's Grand Crus was in 2012.

Mugneret-Gibourg makes my favorite example of Ruchottes. In their hands, the Grand Cru takes on an unparalleled level of punch, sophistication, and refinement.

The 2017 Rochotte is a perfect summary of everything that makes the vintage so special for Mugneret-Gibourg. The precision, clarity of expression, and silken texture is jaw-dropping.
