2014 Roederer Cristal Rosé

Cristal Rosé is always on the "buy" list of Champagne collectors.

In short, it is one of Champagne's greatest wines. Cristal Rosé delivers a jaw-dropping finesse, length, and intricate laciness.

I'm very happy to offer the 2014 Cristal Rosé at very sharp pricing.

The 2014 has all of the markings of a special vintage of this great wine. The 2014 Rosé has incredible elegance, laser focus, and purity. It also possesses a beautiful harmony with a silken quality along with amazing fine-ness, detail, and aromatics.

Cristal Rosé is composed of low-yielding Pinot Noir made in the saignée method from the Bonotte-Pierre-Robert and Gargeotte vineyards in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ that's blended with Chardonnay from Mesnil and Avize.

So much attention is given to Cristal's luxury status that Roederer's progressive philosophy is often overlooked. Roederer is the largest organic and biodynamic vineyard owner in Champagne. The vineyards used for Cristal Rosé were the first ones converted to organic and biodynamic viniculture.

The 2014 Rosé makes it clear that Roederer is at the top of their game. Its clarity of fruit, precision, and elegance announce that everything is being done right. Don't miss this!

Title

Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media: "The 2014 Cristal Rosé sizzles with energy. Finely cut and crystalline to the core, the 2014 is laced with striking vibrancy. Chalk, mint, white flowers, cranberry and blood orange all race across the palate. Deceptively understated and nuanced, the 2014 possesses tons of energy and captivating inner perfume. The 2014 is at the beginning of what is sure to be a very long life. I would not plan on opening a bottle for at least a few years. The style of the vintage is one built on linear intensity more than opulence, like say 2004, with captivating aromatics and a sort of inner tension that needs to resolve. As always, the Rosé is done in the classic Roederer infusion style in which Pinot Noir is vinified on the skins and then blended with Chardonnay to complete the fermentation"
