The wines pull off a feat that no other wines in Montalcino quite achieve. They have an ethereal quality that couples so beautifully, if unexpectedly, with intensity and verve.
Today, I'm happy to offer one of Stella di Campalto's most epic wines to date, the 2019Â Brunello di Montalcino Bacia.Â
The 2019 Bacia is absolutely striking. The aromatics are explosive, offering up layers of pure, dense fruit, dried flowers, and spice. There's real depth and concentration, but the wine remains lifted and delicate. Vinous Media's Eric Guido isn't out of line at all when he writes, "The 2019 Bacia is a bombshell beauty."
